Villa Albertine is launching its calls for applications for the 2025 residency season, of which Société Générale is the major sponsor. Open from November 22, 2023 to February 1, 2024, these calls are addressed to creators, researchers or cultural professionals wishing to carry out an exploratory residency in the United States (in any city or territory), for a period of between one and three months during 2025.

The three calls for 2025 residences are as follows:

General call: the disciplines considered may include, but are not limited to, the following - visual arts, architecture, performing arts, street arts, music (all aesthetics except classical music, which is the subject of a separate call for applications), cinema, series, literature, comics, children's literature, non-fiction, research in the humanities and social sciences, museology, heritage, art history, digital creation (immersive experiences, video games and other forms of creation linked to new technologies, including artificial intelligence and virtual reality), podcasts, culinary arts, etc. Multidisciplinary projects are also accepted.

Crafts or Design call: for research and exploration residencies specifically dedicated to designers and craftspeople.

Classical music call: for research and exploration residencies specifically dedicated to instrumental and vocal classical music. Three residents will be selected: a classical music composer, singer or player; a classical music professional (not a professional musician); a female conductor.

For each call, 3 important criteria - Applicants must have an original research project in the field of arts and ideas, requiring an immersion stay in the United States; involve a French partner in their project; and demonstrate their ability to express themselves in fluent English.
